First Christian Day School is a subsidiary of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and  has developed over the years from a preschool to a primary school to upper grades. We teach Bible based religion in our classrooms and are dedicated to service to the Lord by providing a Christian atmosphere in which children may grow and thrive.

The mission of First Christian Day School is to promote positive learning opportunities for each student. Those opportunities allow each student to develop academically, spiritually, physically, and emotionally. Students should value achievement, respect and care for others, embrace diversity, communication, responsibility and trust in God.

Our trips have been multi-generation, multi-skill, and multi-energy.  We have learned lots, experienced lots,  been blessed and feel that we blessed others.

Reconciliation is a giving opportunity of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) to support ministries targeting racism.

Week of Compassion serves as a response to world-wide disasters with targeted aid in conjunction with Church World Service.

2014 was our 3rd Spring Break Mission Trip.  We were back at Bayview doing roof repair and painting a dormitory along with basic clean up, fix up maintenance jobs.

2013 saw us in Los Fresnos, TX working with Southwest Good Samaritan Ministries.  We put a supplemental kitchen in a former storage area in their retreat center at Bayview, TX.

In 2012 we took our first Spring Break Mission Trip to Joplin, MO, where we assisted in the beautification of South Joplin Christian Church and planted the first cherry trees in Cunningham Park in honor of volunteers  following the Joplin Tornado.
